At the Hay Festival

We spent a lovely day wandering around the Hay On Wye Literary festival yesterday.
Our stall at Paraphernalia is stocked up with lots of lovely things. Really enjoyed meeting and chatting to customers.

The shop is on Market Street near the Antique Centre and Butter Market. Lots of nice things outside as well as in.

Wonderful atmosphere in town. Everywhere you look there is something to see, Stalls, crafts, music, vintage. It goes on and on.

And the sun is shining.

Don't forget. When you need a break to recharge, the tea room at Paraphernalia is open. Wonderful selection of home made cakes and snacks, and the calm of the private courtyard garden setting.

Hay Festival Begins

The Hay On Wye Literary Festival has started. The weather forecast is very promising. As well as the huge variety of fascinating events on the main site, the town is geared up too.
So many lovely shops to explore.
We're all geared up at 'Paraphernalia'. Cow & Ghost have our unit packed with lovely things. The rest of the shop is also looking amazing, so there's something for everyone. The tea room is now open, so somewhere very nice to rest your feet and refresh with a beverage and home made cake while you ponder which lovely item to purchase.
Please come along and say hello.

Hay On Wye Festival 2015

Cow and Ghost have had a lovely weekend. We've enjoyed the sunny delights of Kew Gardens. Highly recommended by the way.
Back home now, and the build up for the Hay On Wye festival begins.
It's a superb and unique event that is well worth visiting.
Huge selection of events on the festival site.
The town has a great selection of lovely shops. We'' be there in Paraphernalia, No7 Market Street.
Lots of lovely items in our unit and the rest of the shop. Also a pop up tea room I can highly recommend.

Fair at Swansea Waterfront Museum.

Fantastic day on Sunday at the 'Smock Vintage' Craft & Vintage Fair in Swansea. The Waterfront museum is a very impressive setting. Met some lovely people, and also caught up with some old friends. Look forward to returning to one of these events soon.

After.

The results of our day of painting.
Really pleased with how they've turned out.
Big plus being outside in the sun.
We're particularly pleased with the yellow chairs.
Fabric remnant bought in York last year is a
PERFECT match for the paint.
Love it when things work out like that.

Before.....

Busy day at Cow & Ghost.
Some furniture to paint and upcycle.
These are the 'before' photos.
There will hopefully be 'After' photos
by the end of the day......
Watch this space....................

Tetbury Fair

Cow & Ghost had a wonderful day at the Vintage and Craft Fair in Tetbury yesterday. It would be easier to say what wasn't going on. The town was full of people and activities. Such a beautiful setting and the sun shone all day.
We were in the Old Goods Shed, which is an amazing venue. Lots of impressive stall displays. We met some lovely people and sold lots of things. Will have to go out stock hunting - like we need an excuse!!
Look forward to returning in the future.

So hard to catch the atmosphere of this brilliant day.
The photos don't do it justice.

Busy day

What a busy day...
Grand opening of new shop
'Paraphernalia' in Hay On Wye today.
Cow & Ghost have a unit there.
Despite the soggy day,
great to see so many people.
Really looking forward to seeing this lovely shop grow and develop.
Thrilled also that the donations pots for free tea and coffee raised £85 for the victims of the earthquake in Nepal.
Thanks to everyone who was so generous.
