Summer

Apologies for blog silence over the last few weeks.
Has been a very busy time at C&G Towers.

We've had quite a few projects ongoing.

Swansea was a huge success with almost unbelievable footfall.
Already looking forward to the next one.

Working now towards our annual event in Talybont On Usk.
After the success of last year we wanted to develop and expand. We have added a marquee and outside stalls and promotion has stretched far and wide aided by kind friends.

Thrilled with our banner which is to be displayed on the A40.

Posters around the local villages and outlying hamlets and cottages.
Glad it's been sunny for the walks.

We have had a few jaunts and jolly days out and are looking forward to a holiday at the end of the summer :-)

Busy Busy Busy

We're always busy at C&G, but this has been a particularly hectic month.

One half of the pair has been involved in a very exciting project we will be telling you more about very soon, and is VERY tired, but has enjoyed every second.
Feel very lucky to have seen some wonderful places around Wales.
Portmeirion a particular delight.

There have been wonderful days in between.

The Estate Fair at Glanusk was - as ever a HUGE highlight

We are heading away on a short break next week, but before that will be pitching up in the old Butter Market in Hay On Wye on Sunday 27th during the wonderful Hay Festival.

Warmer days

A busy few weeks at Cow & Ghost Towers.

Good to see the weather improving. Days slowly getting longer and warmer.

Time to decamp to garden workroom we use over the summer. Slight problem. We use it as winter storage. This has been a particularly long winter and it had become very full......

A very sunny and very busy day this week has seen us reclaim it for the months to come. It's a great space to work in.
Looking forward to future projects - whatever they may be.

As the sun was shining, and we were pleased with inside,
decided outside deserved a new look too.

A very productive day.

Great to put feet up at the end.

April fairs and showers

Just a quick update form C & G Towers.

Great weekend at the National Botanic Garden Fair. Thoroughly enjoyed as usual.

Busy with sewing projects. Our latest are Welsh blanket chicken doorstops.

Dora the doorstop and friends are proving quite a hit and will be with us at upcoming events.

Snowy March

Hope this finds everyone safe and warm. A quick update from Cow & Ghost on a snowy Sunday afternoon.

Sadly quite a few spring events have been cancelled or postponed due to the weather, but we have lots more to look forward to.

We are delighted to announce that the Talybont Vintage & Artisan Fair will once again be held on Saturday 4th August at the Henderson Hall, Talybont-on-Usk.This summer's fair will be even bigger than last year with the addition of a marquee at the rear of the hall accommodating a further eight stalls to enhance the event and all combining to offer a tempting mix of the vintage and retro with artisan crafts. The tea room will once again be providing home made cakes and scones and we will continue to support the work of the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team with a prize draw. Please note the event is fully booked with returning stallholders and the first eight from the reserve waiting list.

Also, we are very pleased to say that we will be organising the 'Swansea Vintage & Artisan Fair' at The National Waterfront Museum in Swansea Marina. The next fair will be on Sunday 10th June. and will run alongside the vibrant Swansea Marina Market. If you are interested in a stall, please contact us. Booking forms will be available just after Easter. We are looking for sellers of quality vintage and retro or artisan crafts - no consumables as this would overlap the outside market.

Valentine

A quiet and enjoyable Valentine's week at Cow & Ghost.

We've both been off and enjoyed the time wandering various places sourcing stock for upcoming events.

Sewing machine has been busy. As it's Valentine's week have been working with a red tapestry.

Also been working on something new.

Have wanted to make a soft toy for a while. Created our own cat design in the style of many vintage 2D toys we have seen over the years. Thinking of making a dog too.....

These and lots of other things will be coming to our next fair. Really looking forward to being back at Brecon for the Artisan Market which is part of Brecon Women's Festival.

Hope to see you there.

'January, February', by us, not Barbara Dickson.

A very belated Happy New Year from Cow & Ghost.

Where did January go???

Time seems to have flown by.
Great start to the new year with the first of the Derwen Antique Fairs at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. This event is always great fun from start to finish and the setting is fabulous.

As usual we were pitched in the marquee.

Amazing flow of people. Rain didn't stop play. Huge thank you to everyone who braved the elements and came to the event. Already looking forward to the next one - April 7th & 8th.

Starting to collect new items of stock. Particularly thrilled with this little table. Love items with 'dansette' legs.

The next event we're standing at is the Artisan Market in Brecon in early March. The market is part of Brecon Womens Festival. Hugely enjoyable last year and well worth a visit.

We use this event to showcase the items we make from damaged vintage Welsh blankets. Lots of new stock already lined up and lots of projects planned.

Happy February.
