Crickhowell Fayre.

Our next fayre.
Always a great day.
Hope to see you there.

Vintage Fair - Ystradowen

A rare Saturday off for Cow and Ghost. Little jaunt to a National Trust property, but we also found a vintage fair. Lovely to go along as customers for a change.

Lovely selection of china and jewelry.
Also cards and crafts.

Topped off with a vintage style tea room.
There really was something for every one.

A great addition to this fair were the vintage ice cream van and caravan in the car park.
The ice cream van was exactly as I remember them from childhood.

We were rather smitten with Blodwyn the caravan. I've even gone as far as looking them up on Ebay!! Dreams aside, the lovely Blod was available to hire for occasions. Think that might be the summer holiday sorted.

Carmarthen Vintage

As usual, a really enjoyable day at the Vintage and Antiques Fair in St Peter's Hall, Carmarthen. Fantastic collection of items for sale. We were busy from the moment we opened. Met and chatted to lots of lovely people.

This great town centre location brings in devotees and passers by. Presently 2 events a year, we look forward to returning in February 2016.

Hard to capture the atmosphere of the day. It flies by. Wish we'd had more time to look around the other stalls. There were some lovely items. We did manage to sample some of the home made cake at the pop up cafe. Worth returning just for more. Derwen Fairs, who ran this event are returning to Carmarthen in just under a month. This time at the QE High School in Johnstown. Saturday August 1st, 2015.

Cow & Ghost will also be at 'The Vintage & Antiques Fayre' in Crickhowell's Clarence Hall on July 18th 2015. Always a great event. Hope to see you there.

Hay On Wye Food Festival.

Cow and Ghost have had a great day. hay On Wye Food Festival today. The sun shone and the town was busy. We were in the shop. Met lots of lovely people and took advantage of the weather by having lots of stock outside.

The Old Cheese Market and the Market Square were a hive of activity. Stalls, entertainment and lots of lovely food.

The same spaces will be dedicated to the annual 'Hay Does Vintage' event tomorrow - June 28th. Cow and Ghost will be there, in the Old Butter Market. Come and say hello.

Shopping Spree....

Really looking forward to having a stall at 'Hay Does Vintage' in Hay On Wye on Sunday June 28th. Had a wander of a few favourite haunts today and have some lovely new stock to bring to Hay's beautiful butter market on Sunday. Love this sunny dessert set. Hope the day will be as bright. Please come along and see us.

This little drawer is just 21cm wide. There are so many things that could be stored in it.

This little oak table could also have a huge variety of uses. Simple and stylish, it could fit into almost any room and style.

Weekend Jaunt

Cow & Ghost have just returned from a weekend in Gloucester. We can't recommend the city enough. The city centre and Cathedral are well worth a visit. Beautiful buildings and lots of lovely shops. Wonderful Flea Market with a Vintage cafe where we passed a very enjoyable hour.

The Quays area is fantastic. Great atmosphere. Shops, restaurants and pavement cafes. Highlight for us was the three floor Antique Centre. Huge selection of units and another lovely cafe.

On the way home we discovered a real treat for Vintage lovers. Woodchester Mansion. Abandoned mid build in 1873 and preserved in that state. A truly beautiful building site. Acres of parkland owned and managed by the National Trust. A great day out near Stroud. Also yet another lovely cafe.....
