Christmas Fairs Part 2

2017 saw a huge milestone for Cow & Ghost.

Bullet bitten, and we started organising our own fairs.

Pleased to be hosting in the village where we are based, and overwhelmed by the support we've received. After the success of the summer one we were delighted to present the winter one. Photos have been on social media for ages, but wanted to include them here too.

We look forward to more in the new year.

Watch this space....

Struck by the photos how many good friends we've made in the years of Cow & Ghost. Vintage and craft seems to attract the very best people.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU
to all involved.

Here's the day in photographs......

Christmas Fairs Part 1

After the success and enjoyment of Brecon Artisan Market in the spring, we were thrilled to be a part of the winter event.

This is where we can showcase the Welsh Tapestry Blanket side of our business.

Wonderful selection of stalls. Huge variety of craft and all beautiful.

The little Christmas trees a particular success. Thrilled, as they were a new idea and we really enjoyed making them.

Looking forward to taking part again next year.

Bit out of date

We have been saying for sometime that we need to update the blog.....
December was a VERY busy month....

We'd both like to say a huge thank you to friends, family and customers who've supported Cow & Ghost through 2017. Hope you've all had a brilliant Christmas.

LOTS planned for next year.....

An enjoyable month

It's been a very busy time at Cow & Ghost, hence no blog post for a while.

We've been promoting and preparing for our next fair in Talybont which is on December 2nd. Lots done, but still lots to do....

We've delivered leaflets to all the surrounding villages, which we really enjoyed, as had some lovely crisp, dry autumn days to do it.

Adverts in all the local magazines. Delighted to get a mention in two nationals.

'Reclaim'

and 'Homes & Antiques'

We're really looking forward to hosting the event.

As well as planning for this, we've had a fantastic weekend standing at the National Botanic Gardens fair hosted by Derwen Antique Fairs.

Also really enjoyed having a stall at Brecon Artisan Market. This event gives us the chance to showcase our Welsh Tapestry blankets and related products.

A wonderful atmosphere as always.

Fairs

We've had a busy few weeks at Cow & Ghost.

The leaflets for the next fair we're organising have been designed and printed. Really pleased with the result. Reminds us of old fashioned Christmas cards and gift wrap, and has the 'wintery' feel we wanted.

A lot have been distributed at various events, many by kind friends. Huge thank you to everyone who has helped. In a few weeks they will be in shops and businesses, and door to door in local villages.

We were very busy in the run up to the latest Derwen Antique Fairs event.
A brilliant weekend as usual in the National Botanic Gardens Fair.

Weather was kind and there was a great feel good atmosphere. People didn't want to leave. Caught up with friends and customers and thoroughly enjoyed.

As well as our own fair, we'll be at two other events this year. Both in November.

The next Derwen Fairs event is in Llandeilo on November 4th.
This fair is growing and gaining in popularity month on month.

November 19th sees us at the Artisan Christmas Market in Brecon. This event is one for our Welsh wool blankets and blanket related items.

 Lots to look forward to.

Busy Village

There's always something going on in Talybont On Usk where Cow & Ghost are based.

On Saturday September 16th we were delighted to go along to the Village Hall, which is the venue we use for our fairs. Thanks to lottery funding and the hard work of a team of local people we were able to attend the official opening of the improved hall. New kitchen, inside toilets, public toilets and a fantastic bike hub. Everything looks great and has been finished to a very high standard.

On Friday 22nd we were pleased to be involved in the latest project by local 'Talybont Tourism' group of which we are members.

The group have got the members together to film a promotional video showcasing the fantastic facilities the area has to offer. Pleased to be part of it, and very much looking forward to the finished item. Watch this space.
