Valentine

A quiet and enjoyable Valentine's week at Cow & Ghost.

We've both been off and enjoyed the time wandering various places sourcing stock for upcoming events.

Sewing machine has been busy. As it's Valentine's week have been working with a red tapestry.

Also been working on something new.

Have wanted to make a soft toy for a while. Created our own cat design in the style of many vintage 2D toys we have seen over the years. Thinking of making a dog too.....

These and lots of other things will be coming to our next fair. Really looking forward to being back at Brecon for the Artisan Market which is part of Brecon Women's Festival.

Hope to see you there.

'January, February', by us, not Barbara Dickson.

A very belated Happy New Year from Cow & Ghost.

Where did January go???

Time seems to have flown by.
Great start to the new year with the first of the Derwen Antique Fairs at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. This event is always great fun from start to finish and the setting is fabulous.

As usual we were pitched in the marquee.

Amazing flow of people. Rain didn't stop play. Huge thank you to everyone who braved the elements and came to the event. Already looking forward to the next one - April 7th & 8th.

Starting to collect new items of stock. Particularly thrilled with this little table. Love items with 'dansette' legs.

The next event we're standing at is the Artisan Market in Brecon in early March. The market is part of Brecon Womens Festival. Hugely enjoyable last year and well worth a visit.

We use this event to showcase the items we make from damaged vintage Welsh blankets. Lots of new stock already lined up and lots of projects planned.

Happy February.

Christmas Fairs Part 2

2017 saw a huge milestone for Cow & Ghost.

Bullet bitten, and we started organising our own fairs.

Pleased to be hosting in the village where we are based, and overwhelmed by the support we've received. After the success of the summer one we were delighted to present the winter one. Photos have been on social media for ages, but wanted to include them here too.

We look forward to more in the new year.

Watch this space....

Struck by the photos how many good friends we've made in the years of Cow & Ghost. Vintage and craft seems to attract the very best people.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU
to all involved.

Here's the day in photographs......

Christmas Fairs Part 1

After the success and enjoyment of Brecon Artisan Market in the spring, we were thrilled to be a part of the winter event.

This is where we can showcase the Welsh Tapestry Blanket side of our business.

Wonderful selection of stalls. Huge variety of craft and all beautiful.

The little Christmas trees a particular success. Thrilled, as they were a new idea and we really enjoyed making them.

Looking forward to taking part again next year.

Bit out of date

We have been saying for sometime that we need to update the blog.....
December was a VERY busy month....

We'd both like to say a huge thank you to friends, family and customers who've supported Cow & Ghost through 2017. Hope you've all had a brilliant Christmas.

LOTS planned for next year.....

An enjoyable month

It's been a very busy time at Cow & Ghost, hence no blog post for a while.

We've been promoting and preparing for our next fair in Talybont which is on December 2nd. Lots done, but still lots to do....

We've delivered leaflets to all the surrounding villages, which we really enjoyed, as had some lovely crisp, dry autumn days to do it.

Adverts in all the local magazines. Delighted to get a mention in two nationals.

'Reclaim'

and 'Homes & Antiques'

We're really looking forward to hosting the event.

As well as planning for this, we've had a fantastic weekend standing at the National Botanic Gardens fair hosted by Derwen Antique Fairs.

Also really enjoyed having a stall at Brecon Artisan Market. This event gives us the chance to showcase our Welsh Tapestry blankets and related products.

A wonderful atmosphere as always.
